November 10 – U.S. Marine Corps Birthday
November 11 – Veteran’s Day (observed in the U.S.)
November 11 – Armistice/Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day functions elsewhere in the world similar to the U.S. Memorial Day observed at the end of May. Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day or Poppy Day, is technically meant to honor the end of World War 1, which occured at 11 am on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. But, Remembrance Day has long been a time to pay respect to the fallen from all wars. Remembrance Day traditions include the wearing of poppies, and a two-minute silence at 11 am on the the eleventh day of the eleventh month.
