The Leadership Legacy Gala is the Foundation’s premier annual fundraiser and an evening that celebrates the very heart of Major Brent Taylor’s legacy. Guests gather for a night of inspiration, remembrance, and connection, featuring keynote speakers, musical tributes, and a silent auction.

All proceeds from the Gala support the Foundation’s mission to train service-minded leaders, honor military families, and provide meaningful programs that strengthen our communities. Special Guest Speaker:
Michael “Rod” Rodriguez

Michael “Rod” Rodriguez, President/CEO of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation since 2018, is a former Green Beret who joined the U.S. Army in 1992, served ten combat deployments, and retired in 2013 due to injuries. A Norwich University graduate with degrees in Strategic Studies and Diplomacy, he has advised the Bush Institute, is an Explorers Club Fellow, and aided in Afghanistan evacuations in 2021.

A New Mexico native from a military family, Rod is an artist whose metalwork, displayed at places like the George W. Bush Presidential Center, promotes healing. He advocates for veterans, speaks on civilian-military understanding, and is a proud grandfather, father, and brother.
